Big Dawg DreDay Show to Broadcast Live at Worlds of Work

The Big Dawg DreDay Show in the Morning with Comedian LP is taking the show on the road Wednesday, October 14, broadcasting live from the 10th Annual Worlds of Work Career Expo at Shelton State Community College.

The award-winning morning show on 105.1 The Block will broadcast from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m., bringing listeners inside one of West Alabama's largest career exploration events.

Celebrating its 10th year, the event gives participants hands-on exposure to careers in 11 different industries, including:

- Agriculture
- Construction
- Cosmetology
- Education
- Energy and Utilities
- Engineering and Environment
- Healthcare
- Hospitality and Tourism
- Manufacturing and Automotive
- Public Safety
- Transportation and Logistics

Tomorrow morning DreDay and LP will interview participants, speak with organizers and highlight the interactive experiences available at the expo while bringing their signature energy and entertainment to the event.

Worlds of Work is a collaborative initiative led by West Alabama Works and the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, designed to introduce students, educators and community members to high-demand, high-wage career opportunities throughout the region.

The expo also addresses workforce challenges facing West Alabama, including shortages of skilled workers and the anticipated retirement of a significant portion of the region's workforce in the coming years.

The event serves communities throughout West Alabama's nine-county workforce region, including Tuscaloosa and surrounding counties.

Listeners can tune in to 105.1 The Block Wednesday morning from 6 to 10 a.m. as DreDay and LP showcase the people, industries and opportunities making the 10th Annual Worlds of Work a major workforce development event.
