Goth Rock Giants Evanescence Planning September Show in Tuscaloosa

An American rock band that defined the gothic sound in the early 2000s is coming to Tuscaloosa for a late summer show at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.

Minutes after announcing an August show starring Pitbull, the city announced that promoters have also booked Evanescence for a September show at the upgraded venue.

Led by frontwoman Amy Lee, the band was founded in Arkansas in 1994. They've released five albums and had sold almost 32 million copies in 2022, making them a hard rock staple.

The Tuscaloosa show is planned for Thursday, September 11th at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Evanescence will be joined by Poppy and other special guests.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday at ticketmaster.com and Thursday at MercedesBenzAmphitheater.com, where the pre-sale code FALLEN gets you access a day early.
