The Robots Are Coming To Alabama

There is no way to deny that we are all living in a new era.

It is scary in some ways, and it is ok to say that out loud.

One thing that scares me a little bit is the rise of the robot.

At one time, I thought we wouldn't have to deal with it for years and years.

THE TIME IS NOW.

Even here in Alabama, robots are beginning to show up more and more.

Recently, a story about Amazon and a "robot army" sounded a little menacing.

Army and robot are a couple of words that shouldn't be used together in a sentence.

The story even referred to "humanoid robots" and said they would quickly jump out of vans and bring us our packages.

We recently had the chance to talk to a contributor to a couple of business magazines/newsletters in Alabama, and he said multiple companies in Alabama were testing or already using robots to manufacture products.

ROBOTS WILL ATTACK EVENTUALLY?

As we all head down this road of more and more robots in our lives, I worry about the robots going all "Terminator" on us and fighting back.

Just recently, as a couple of engineers were trying to repair a robot, the robot started to attack them without any warning.

That is pretty frightening to watch. That robot was not happy in the least and was looking for blood. That is a crazy video to wrap your head around.

That robot wanted to fight a human badly!

We've even heard more and more about a robot living in all of our homes by the end of this decade.

That definitely sounds like a plot from a Hollywood hit movie; in fact, I know it has been the plot in a couple of movies.
