Brookwood, Alabama Throwing Back To School Bash

Brookwood Mayor Joe Barger always strives to make improvements that benefit the people of Brookwood. This time, Barger wants to make "back-to-school" fun for all with a party for families all across West Alabama.

Now that the "back-to-school" season is here, the City of Brookwood aims to have a big celebration.

This weekend, Saturday late afternoon and evening, is the date for this citywide family fun, and the location is 15689 Highway 216 in Brookwood.

The party is free for families to attend with no gate fees.

The festivities will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, rides for the kids, and a live radio broadcast on Friday morning.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's "Steve & DC" from 95.3 The Bear will host their morning show from Brookwood on Friday morning with plenty of big guests and surprises.

The big headliner on Saturday is the well-known country group "Love & Theft," performing at 8:00 pm.

An opening act will take the stage at 6:00 pm.

When the sun goes down, the crowd will be treated to a fireworks show that is scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm on Saturday night.
