It’s time to beat Auburn, not only on the football field, but when it comes to hunger in Alabama as well.

It’s time for the annual Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger drive to end hunger in Alabama.

Last year, Auburn beat us, and they beat us pretty badly.

We cannot allow that to happen again.

CC Hahn, President of BABH, joined us at Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa to discuss ways we can all contribute to the community and combat hunger.

This year, they have made it highly convenient to drop off donations with drop-off points at the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue, the Saban Catholic Center, the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce, and the Alabama Credit Union.

This year, the drive officially begins on October 3, and Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger is hosting some significant new community events in addition to inviting West Alabama companies, schools, and churches to participate by having barrels at their locations.

The event is an annual student-run campaign created by the Center for Service and Leadership in partnership with the West Alabama Food Bank in 1994.

So, we only have a few weeks to get it in gear and make sure we make a substantial impact and BEAT AUBURN.
Since its inception, Alabama and Auburn have combined to raise over 8 million pounds of food for Alabamians in need.
