It’s not the first time either, and it's hard to understand that last winter there was a rock salt shortage in America.

According to several sources, the shortage is driven by unprecedented demand from the severe, consistent cold weather we are experiencing across America, and it is all made worse by serious supply chain issues, labor problems, and mine-related production challenges.
It’s not the only shortage making the news this week. We also have news of a critical blood shortage, according to the American Red Cross.
This is a very important story to pay attention to because it impacts the lives of critically ill and injured patients.
If you are able to donate to a local blood bank, please consider doing so as this shortage continues to grow.
