Alabama once again has a promising young quarterback commit who continues to add to his accolades. 2027 Alabama QB commit Trent Seaborn has added 7A Back of the Year to his resume and continues to impress going into his senior season at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama.

 

 

In his sophomore year, Seaborn threw a total of 328 passes, completing 210 of them for 2,675 passing yards, with 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions for a completion percentage of 64%. While also carrying the ball 44 times for 256 rushing yards (5.8 yards per carry) and one score on the ground, leading Thompson High School to an 11-3 record and the 7A state championship. As a junior in 2025, he completed 72% of his passes for 3,689 yards, passing for 35 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. He also added five rushing scores during the season.

 

Seaborn joins his future Alabama teammate Ezavier Crowell in winning an award on January 20th, 2026. Crowell won the Mr. Football award in the state of Alabama after rushing for 2,632 yards and 35 touchdowns. Seaborn is rated as a four-star prospect. According to 247 Sports, Seaborn is ranked as the 13th-best quarterback and seventh-best player in the state of Alabama.

 

Seaborn has been the starting quarterback for Thompson since his eighth-grade year (2022) and has led the Warriors to three state championships and four state title game appearances. Seaborn has been named an All-American by MaxPreps three times and was named Junior All-American for the 2025 season. He was also named Sophomore All-American in 2024 and Freshman All-American in 2023. He earned Freshman of the Year honors in 2023 as well.
