The Alabama Crimson Tide are over the scholarship limit in men's basketball. The only player that was guaranteed to leave was Aaron Estrada, but Alabama is expected to have four players enter the program via high school signees and one transfer portal addition, for now.

Alabama has their first scholarship player enter the transfer portal following the ending of the Crimson Tide's season in the Final Four. Redshirt freshman Kris Parker, who did not appear in any game for the Tide this season, has entered the transfer portal according to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.

Parker measures in at six-foot-nine, 195 pounds according to Alabama's roster. He was a three-star recruit out of high school and the No. 41 small forward in the country out of Crossroad Academy, a 2A high school in Quincy, Florida. He averaged 24.8 points, 14.2 rebounds, and 7.1 assists in high school.

Parker was the only member of the Tide's 2023 recruiting class that did not play, with Jarin Stevenson, Sam Walters, and Mouhamed Dioubate playing real minutes for the Tide this season.

With Parker's departure, Alabama is still one player over the scholarship limit of 13 players due to the Crimson Tide's incoming recruiting and transfer portal class. It is expected that there will be more departures from the current roster by way of either the transfer portal or the NBA Draft.
