Alabama early enrollee running back Ezavier Crowell added one more accolade to his resume before officially starting his college football career with the Crimson Tide, winning Mr. Football in the state of Alabama earlier in the week.

Crowell is rated as a five-star running back, according to 247 Sports, and is the No. 29 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class. He is the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama and the No. 2 running back in the class. Crowell reclassified from the 2027 recruiting class to the 2026 recruiting class and has enrolled early at Alabama, meaning he'll be with the Crimson Tide for spring practice during the 2026 preseason.

His career spotlights numerous highlight-reel plays, as he led the Jackson Aggies to the school's second consecutive 4A State Championship. During his final year of high school football, he led the state in rushing yards despite missing the first game of the season due to amateurism bylaws. He finished the season with 209 carries for 2,632 yards (12.6 yards per carry) and 35 touchdowns. He was also named the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama.

During his high school career (three seasons), Crowell toted the rock 543 times for 6,332 yards (11.7 yards per carry) and totaled 91 rushing touchdowns. He'll enter an Alabama running back room that is looking to replace the production of senior Jam Miller, who is off to the NFL after exhausting the remainder of his eligibility. Alabama also lost Dre Washington due to exhausting eligibility and Richard Young to the transfer portal.
